Pasty making with the boys

We made some Pasties with the boys today and I have decided to share the recipe we used. I took a bunch of photos as well so Ill treat you, I have uploaded them below the recipe. The recipe is not from anywhere we just cobbled some bits together and just went for it.

Vegetable & cheese pasties

Ingredients

4 Small Carrots chopped
1 Onion chopped
75g frozen sweet corn
Ready rolled Light Shortcrust Pastry ( From Tesco's ;-P)
Grated cheese (To personal preference)

Method

Preheat oven to Gas Mark 5/6 190/200 Degress Mix all the vegatables together

Cut the Pastry in to equal rectangles

Load the desired amount of filling, this is a personal preference thing, put the filling in the middle of the pastry heaped.

Fold over and curl the edges see the pictures for guidence

Then prepare a oven tray with low fat, oil equivalent, spray (Fry light). Then place the pasties on the tray remembering to spraying the tops of the pasties.

Bake for about 30/40 mins or until when the pasties are nicely browned off, turn once.

(This is not a professional Recipe so if I have missed anything then comment and let me know)

The boys had lots of fun mixing the vegetables and loved eating them. It is just something we cobbled together with what we had. They were so simple, healthy and easy to make. Yet they tasted superb and we will defiantly be making them again using exactly what we used today.

Charlie was happy to be eating his pasty

Looks like Harry had too much !
