The Boy's Update

The boys are doing very well, developing away at 100mph. We are very excited for Harry because we made his cot down to a big boy bed :-) He loved it and kept saying bed bed bed, however this first night he is spending most of the evening playing! He will get used to having to stay in the bed for sleeping, I think we will be picking harry up off the floor this first night.

Harry is chatting away as usual, but he will get so frustrated because he knows exactly what he wants to say but he just can not fully communicate it. He has had a fair few bumps recently especially on his head. I think he is getting to confident which is fine when he's awake and full on beans, it is when he becomes tired he gets clumsy. When he had a trip at my uncles house he fell in to a concrete edge of a door frame and this massive egg came up on his head. The A&E doctor said he had not seen an egg that big for along time and if it was any bigger we would have had to be kept in.

Harry has definately hit the terrible two's now if he does not get his own way now he screams but it's a blood curdling scream. Its can be so embarrassing in shop's and especially cafe's but we are trying not to give in to it. When people are around when we are out it is difficult to just leave him screaming because it sound like he is really hurt or something terrible is happening. We will beat it but it is going to have to be tackled properly at home.

Charlie, he is plodding along nicely no real developments to talk about. He is very excited about going to nursery, we will be putting him in there in the next few months. But he keeps asking can I go and play with the other boys and girls, so cute. It is his Birthday in 6 days and he is getting his first pedal bike, he already loves his balance bike so we think he will love his big boy bike.

This year I think will be a big year for Charlie he will be off to nursery, we will sign him up for school and he will be developing at a frighteningly fast rate. In no time at all he is going to become a big boy so excited for him but sad our baby is no longer.

  2. Oohh my goodness! that is quite a bump Harry is sporting. Our little one had a bit of sharp impact with a pavement on New Years Day and that caused what we thought was a large bump - thankfully now just a rather nice speckly, greeny-yellow coloured bruise. Poor thing - hope its not causing any him any discomfort. Good luck with the move to the "big bed"! :D

  6. When we moved my little one to her toddler bed we found her sleeping on the floor for about a week. Hopefully your little one does not take as long before he sleeps in the bed. And I agree it is sad when they grow up and you know your baby is gone, my oldest started school this year and I just can't believe she is such a big girl already.
